In January of 2016, I read an article about a retired couple in Boston who decided to try their hand at "urban farming" using recycled shipping containers and hydroponic growing systems designed by a company named Freight Farms. That article sparked a curiosity in me which, after hours of research, phone calls, and meetings, led to the founding of Better Fresh Farms, LLC this May. Following a few additional months of planning and preparation, we are now on the verge of launching our farm! The next few months will include some training at the Freight Farms headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts, delivery of our first two farms, and planting our very first crop.
